A year ago today...

Edited to add: I originally posted this late July, but you tube was not cooperating, so I guess it decided to catch up yesterday.

I left my baby in Guatemala.

I know I have been doing a lot of, "this time last year" posts, but it was such a pivotal summer for me spiritually and for our family, it has been good to reflect on all that God has done.

So, in honor of that, I am reposting our visit trip video.

We fully understand your "this time a year ago" focus! We are there too right, w/our own adoptions.. this time a year ago, our new son was a face on a website. This time a year ago, I was praying for him in a journal and wondering whose hands were caring for him. Now he is a precious, real child in OUR arms who is learning "There's Power In The Blood" and "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God" and that God made him for His own glory.
God is great. I think we all love to hear what He has done, so keep telling us. And we rejoice with you though we have never met you. Anna in NH

Funny how it still evokes the same emotions of longing, even though we can hold Ellie now. How wonderful are the words of the old hymns, Anna!
