I was reading Psalm 136 recently. It gives an attribute, thanksgiving or work of the Lord and follows every line with "for his steadfast love endures forever". It goes into how the Lord was faithful to Israel in good and rough times. I wanted to record our own Psalm 136 story and account for His steadfast love in the milestones of our lives. The first nine verses are directly from the scriptures.
Psalm 136:1-9
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.
Give thanks to the God of gods, for his steadfast love endures forever.
Give thanks to the Lord of lord, for his steadfast love endures forever;
to him who alone does great wonders, for his steadfast love endures forever;
to him who spread out the earth above the waters, for his steadfast love endures forever;
to him who made the great lights, for his steadfast love endures forever;
the sun to rule over the day, for his steadfast love endures forever;
the moon and stars to rule over the night, for his steadfast love endures forever;
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
to Him who formed me, for his steadfast love endures forever;
who planned every breath I would breathe, for his steadfast love endures forever;
to my Savior, who rescued me from the depths of my sin and brought me to a saving knowledge of Him, for his steadfast love endures forever;
to the God who moved my husband around the corner when we were young, for his steadfast love endures forever;
and planned for us to serve Him together, for his steadfast love endures forever;
who called us to ministry and to the Midwest, for his steadfast love endures forever;
to Him who formed our first daughter so perfectly, for his steadfast love endures forever;
and allowed her to come within minutes of losing her life at 13 days old, for his steadfast love endures forever;
who pulled us through those hard days in the hospital, for his steadfast love endures forever;
to the God who has given us so many hard times in service to Him, for his steadfast love endures forever;
to the God, who has given us so many joyous times in service to Him, for his steadfast love endures forever;
our amazing provider, has met our needs over and over, for his steadfast love endures forever;
who created our sons, adding to our delight, for his steadfast love endures forever;
who called us to serve "across the river", and move 3 times in 3 months, for his steadfast love endures forever;
the all knowing One, who willed the death of a cousin, for his steadfast love endures forever;
to Him who moved our hearts to obey His call to care for the fatherless, for his steadfast love endures forever;
and purposed a beautiful Guatemalan daughter for our family, for his steadfast love endures forever;
who enabled us to hold her close and let her go for a time, for his steadfast love endures forever;
to the Lord, who brought us all together again, for his steadfast love endures forever;
we look to the next adventures of the church plant, for his steadfast love endures forever;

And who gave Whitney godly parents to raise her to be a loving wife...His steadfast love endures forever.
And gave the Bennett's their Whitney to love their Daniel and to love and nurture their children...His steadfast love endures forever.
beautiful, Whitney......
Praise God for his goodness to you, in the good times and the bad. May others see Christ's goodness to you and your love for Him, and desire the same for their lives. Thank you for posting this. I am reminded that while our little ones are still in Haiti, "His love endures forever." He is not constrained by time or distance. God bless you.
