This is our little Ellie! We got the referral call on Monday! She was born July12, 2006. The Lord made her avaliable for adoption just as we were at the top of the waiting list! We hear from her care givers that she is a "happy and quiet baby" and "we need to adopt her"! And YES, we DO need to add her to our family! Things are rolling with sending a Power of Atterney and getting an updated 171-H (something a little unique to our state). I have lots of pics from the agency and I am trying to get dates on them and put them in order so we can see her growth over this first year. We were on location in Louisville, KY while Daniel was taking a class , so that added to the memories of that special call. (I will have to post on that later.) We will meet her in 46 days! Keep praying for a smooth process through the Guatemalan courts so we can bring her home!

Woo-hoo! My little grandgirl is a sweetie! I can hardly wait to hold her...see the look in her eyes...she's saying, "Grandma...come play! Pick me up and let's go somewhere!Hannah and Grandma and Aunt Emily and me for a tea party! And Mommy can come, too!"

A rush of emotion filled my heart and my eyes welled up as I scrolled down and looked at Ellie's precious little face! What an amazing journey and to know it's all been planned by Our Heavenly Father already...every detail. :) COngrats!! I can't wait to meet her one day (when we make it back to Bethany!)...sigh...what a wonderful life we have in Christ. :)

I forgot to tell you that I thought of one of your previous blogs about being a Guat-stalker this afternoon. There was a Mom at the swimming pool today with what I believe were 2 Guatemalan children...but then again I'm no expert. :)

What an absolutely precious child our Ellie is! We are so overjoyed for you and for ourselves as well.
She is beautiful and we can hardly wait to see her in person and hold her! Gramps is looking forward to bouncing her on his knees. We love you all! I know Hannah, Austin, and Noah can hardly wait as well. Isn't God wonderful?

I will be praying that God will keep this precious little one in His hand, and that her life will bring GREAT Glory to our Father in Heaven...My favorite verse is about Elizabeth...Luke 1:45 "And Blessed is she who belived that there would be a fulfillment of what the Lord had spoken."
