God is Sufficient, Even in the Cold Midwest!

It snowed last night, nothing too unusual for us. However, I do cringe a little at the fact that we are bringing Ellie home in the dead of winter. Those of you who have visited EN know exactly what I am talking about, as I am sure she has almost NEVER experienced the sensation of being cold! (The children's home is a sauna, steamy windows and all.) The snow is not the rough part, it is the crazy cold temps (Sat night, a time/temp sign read ZERO degrees!) But, as I posted in the title, God is sufficient, even in the cold Midwest!

Hannah made a snow chair.
Helping Mommy shovel (Yes, I shovel, but because I like to!) :)

Givin' it a taste.

I thought our TX and AL friends would enjoy seeing our snow, from the excited posts about snow in 'Bama this weekend. :)

Is that the same little Hannah who hated to be in the cold snow when she was very little? Nice snow chair, Hannah! Great job shoveling, Austin! Noah...maybe I can make you some snow cream someday!

We were just commenting about the weather adjustment these kids have to make when they come North in the winter. Those layers will actually be needed for once...I couldn't believe how wrapped up they had our girls when they brought them to the hotel. They had parkas on with hoods and it was 70 degrees outside :)

I'm praying the cold blast is gone by the time you return (at least these extra cold temps!). I'll bet she'll love snow.

Can't wait to see her in snow!! :) Can't wait to give her a hug. We're praying for your trip and will continue to be in prayer. Love to you all - all SIX of you!

Dear children,
What great pictures! I am so pleased to see them, but thankful that it is not here in East TN that the snow is present. We have below freezing temps here during the night and sometimes during the day, but, praise the Lord, no snow right now. Thinking about how Ellie is going to do in those cold temps makes me shiver, but I know that since God created all weather, he created us to deal with it as humans. We are with you in our thoughts and prayers as we think about your picking her up and your arrival in Illinois. Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow! Love you all so very much.
