Things are going well, I thought I would just add a little about our day:

Praises:
1. She looks into my eyes, often, and it does not seem to bother her.
2. She is eating. I was glad to find out that she is still on 4 bottles a day. We get that bonding time with her and get to be the ones to transistion her to the next step. She ate baby food really well and she ate bits of pizza, chicken, and potates today. Our kids will like to know that she is also a vanilla wafer fan. :) On our visit trip, she did not really want to eat for us.
3. Loves to snuggle, fall alseep on me...had two great naps together and held her before we got her in bed. (Daniel actually gets credit for getting her to sleep and in her bed.)
4. When she cried this morning, she stopped as soon as I passed her back to Mimi...this gives me great hope that she will from such an attachment with us and even deeper.
5. The hotel has been a good choice...staff is very attentive, and this place is mainly adoptive families.

How Ellie has changed our parenting:
1. We are not concerned yet with her learning to sleep in her own bed.
2. Offered cookies first.
3. Have the TV on for background noice from time to time. She has gotten brief exposures to Pixar films that are hits in our house (Cars was on today. :) ) We limit TV at home, especially when the kids were little as she is, but she just seems comforted with some noise. Thankfully, the big kids will be great assistants in the background noice department once we get home. :)

We are off early to get visa pictures done, then to the Embassy appointment. Afterward, we are going to explore Antigua some, so updates won't be until evening, but we should have some great pictures!

Thanks for your faithful prayers and loving comments!

In His Grace,
Whitney

So glad things are going well. It's ok that the rules change. I've seen your videos about forgotten children. Let's hope you remember to bring Ellie home. (just kidding) We love you and can't wait to meet Ellie in person!

Just returned from our ARk. trip and got the other kids settled, Em back to school, Matt finishing his edits on a writing project. Could NOT go to bed with out reading the blog and seeing the pics.

No description for what my heart felt to see our 4th one in your arms, and we are SO ready to see the six of you all together!

Hi! I really shouldn't read your blog at work. You can probably imagine me sitting at my desk crying for half an hour! :) We are so excited for you guys. Gabbie has already been making statements like, "we're pretty close to them, how long do you think it will be until we get to see her?" I thought it was pretty funny! Hope you are having a great time! P.S. More pictures, please!!!

Love you guys and are very excited to hear how things are going! We know what you mean about the less than safe feeling at the pizza place - today we went to get haircuts and the GUARD at the door had a GUN with extra bullets!!! Yikes! Hey, we adoptive parents are sure adventurous!!! Thinking of you & miss you!
