Lasts

Lord willing this was our last Saturday without Ellie.

Last Sunday morning getting just three kiddos ready for church, last sermon preached by Daniel without Ellie, last Newcomer's lunch, last House-to-House Ellie is absent for(small group ministry).

Last weekly update to our adoption ministry prayer team without Ellie.

Looking forward to a wonderful week of lasts!!

Got a report about Ellie, with an actual shoe size, rather than inches her foot measures. :) This is what they told me she is eating:

Paches (what the kids are eating below, a potato and meat tamale type-thing, I had to Google it to know what they were, a traditional Sunday dish), eggs, black beans and rice. Chicken noodle soup. She loves cookies and chips, and juice.
This shot was on the EN site, I think she is right in the center, but zooming in is too fuzzy to be sure. :)

I believe the chicken noodle soup is chicken broth with noodles and fresh ciliantro. We had it on our visit trip and loved it so much that we make it at home now. So excited that she is coming home soon!

Katie eats EVERYTHING!! She has her favorites: bananas, carrots, green beans! I bet Ellie will eat anything, too!

You are embarking on such a incredible day...Ellie's Gotcha Day! Take alot of pictures, and have a blast loving on Ellie! Just in case you are planning on making chicken noodle soup when Ellie gets home make sure that you include the chickens feet. No kidding I have seen the mamas serve the soup on several occasions with the feet in it. Isn't that funny! We look forward to meeting her sometime soon.
Love,
Janie

It's so great to hear about all the "lasts"! It's also fun to check your blog each day and seeing the counter number getting smaller! I am SO excited for you guys... only 4 days and 4 hours left!! The pictures are also great... some of Ellie's lasts will also be happening this week. Praying for safety as you travel and for your joyous reunion with one another! God is so good! Love you guys!

I watched your clock countdown tonight from 4 days to 3 days 23 hours 60 minutes 60 seconds. I am so happy for you guys. Some one once told me that this is the small journey of anticipation, waiting, and wanting to a life time of making memeories with Ellie. I will be praying for you guys as you start a new chapter in your lives.
